I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter and truly wish that I had the words that would take away your pain. You have joined this club that no one wants to be a part of, a club that shouldn't exist but does and always will despite the pain it creates. When a child dies, our world, as we once knew it...suddenly changes. The first year is tough, encompassed with denial, pain, anger and overwhelming grief. I thought if I could just take it day by day and make it through the first year, that suddenly things would be different. Instead, I woke up emotionally during the 2nd year and realzied that my son was not coming back and I couldn't change it. It was four years ago on July 16th, 2005, that Andrew died of massive head trauma. I have days now that I feel almost normal again. I've learned to laugh, I've regained my personality and love for people yet there are days when I can't identify why I feel so deflated and numb. I've learned to just take those days as they come and to focus on the fact that Andrew is healthy and whole again living an eternal life in  glorious Heaven.  I  pray that your days will improve with time but I also send my prayers for you and Sandi's entire family.
